About the Accompanist

John Kolody (Accompanist) is a freelance vocal coach and accompanist in the East Village. Involved with the Young Artist Program at the Metropolitan Opera, he has concertized with Andrea Velis and Rosalind Elias. He has been associated with the AIMS program in Graz and the University of Miami/Salzburg program, both in Austria, since 1981. John has created courses in cabaret performance at Southern Methodist University and Manhattanville College. His cabaret acts have been seen at home and abroad. John has also been involved with the Chelsea Concert series, Opera Viva, Bel Canto Opera, DiCapo Opera, New York Choral Society and NYU Choral Arts Society. Mr. Kolody is proud to be a native New Yorker and delighted to have been associated with the Glass Menagerie for more than ten years.
