Come make music on Thursday evenings with a joyful, hardworking chorus of 50 singers from all walks of life and levels of experience. Under the direction of noted music director and educator Dr. Susan Glass, The Glass Menagerie — now in its 34th year — presents two concerts a year for a large, loyal and appreciative audience in beautiful and welcoming downtown venues. Our adventurous and eclectic repertoire spans classical masterworks from every era, music rooted in folk and vernacular traditions, and the work of living composers.

Our December 15, 2018, concert will feature Zoltan Kodály’s great masterpiece, Missa Brevis for Chorus and Organ, plus seasonal delights to charm both singers and audience. Rehearsals begin on September 6, 2018 and take place every Thursday during the academic year from 6:30–9:00 p.m. at LREI (Little Red School House/Elisabeth Irwin High School), 272 Sixth Avenue at Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10014.

Auditions for our 2018-2019 concert season can still be scheduled.

Come to an audition and see if this is the chorus for you. No audition preparation is necessary, but singers interested in joining us should have some prior choral experience and some ability to sight read music.

If you'd like to audition, please complete the form below, and someone will be in touch with you shortly.  Thank you!
