Come make music on Thursday evenings with a joyful, hardworking chorus of 50 singers from all walks of life and levels of experience. Under the direction of noted music director and educator Dr. Susan Glass, The Glass Menagerie — now in its 35th year — presents two concerts a year for a large, loyal and appreciative audience in beautiful and welcoming downtown venues. Our adventurous and eclectic repertoire spans classical masterworks from every era, music rooted in folk and vernacular traditions and the work of living composers.

Rehearsals take place every Thursday from 6:30 to 9:00 PM at LREI (Little Red School House/Elisabeth Irwin High School), 272 Sixth Avenue at Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10014.

No audition preparation is necessary, but singers interested in joining us should have some prior choral experience and some ability to sight read music.

Auditions for our Fall 2019 season will take place in August 2019 (date, time and place TBD).
